got to this hostel and didn't get a good vibe of the lady on reception and everytime i talked to her she wasn't plensant at all as if she didn't even want to be there. was told that the room was not done but could put my stuff in anyway. as the room was next to the deck could hear everything outside. great thing was there was a t.v. in the room do. theres not much utensils in the kitchen to work with and not many chairs if everyone is there at once. had a great time here because met a great bunch of people. theres only one bathroom upstairs which is used by about 12 people so its nearly always occupied and everyone on the deck or in the kitchen uses it too. don't leave stuff out in the kitchen if ya want to keep it as the doors are always open even at 3 in the morning. what you pay for the place do is too expensive but a great hostel if ya want a good crowd to be with.

At this hostel the noice levels where absolutely terrible, and it destroyed our 2-nights stay in an otherwise pretty nice and wellmaintained hostel. I realise everyone is after different things when travelling, and sometimes I too want to sit up with some beers and music on at night. But when a hostel has paperthin walls like this I really think it's up to the owner to put up a "quite after 11pm"-sign or alike, since most customers are actually paying to get a good nights sleep. As I, and the rest of the group I was travelling with, had early activities booked in, we asked the host if he was aware of the situation etc. But he showed no understanding, saying he might get a bad review on the Internet if he asked people to quite down at night...

Travelling solo as a female has never been easier, I was picked up at the airport and then placed in an all-female dorm at my request which was clean and comfy. Cozy, ski resort feel, even in the spring with nice bathrooms, kitchens and personality to spare. Owner, employees and other patrons extremely friendly. Close to town, easy pick-up for tours, great memories. I would recommend this "diamond in the rough" to anyone!
