Good location on the beach but noisy and lacking in atmosphere

Cons
Noise from the common areas at all hours of the night and early morning makes sleep difficult
Pros
Its very close to the beach

This place could be really good, but it was very noisy with people drinking into the early hours, then divers getting up very early and the noise is right outside the bedrooms. The rooms are comfortable but there is not a security locker in them, and I am sure prison cells have better decoration. The common areas were overrun with groups drinking or watching TV at all hours, so you couldnt sit and read or chat. The "No Noise after 11pm" rule is a joke.

Anyone who comes here will DEFINATELY book extra nights. The dorms are great. Quiet and clean. The staff are young and friendly. Shane who works there makes sure everyone has a good time. When we couldn't swim one day because of the rough sea, he took a few of us on a free 4 wheel drive along Main Beach. The barbecue was excellent value, and it's very sociable... you can't help but meet people there. It's literally about 10 seconds away from the beach and the island is beautiful. Unfortunately I've got a plane to catch or I would be back there like a shot. The owners are great. Thanks for a brilliant time.

Very friendly and clean hostel. Staff were very helpful. Quiet location which was great to recharge the batteries. Large kitchen and BBQ area. There is a club and a hotel in easy walking distance and a shop close by. The pub has the most amazing view and good atmosphere. Beaches were beautiful and plentiful but don't forget the sunscreen. I will be back

We booked in for one night and stayed a week. The staff were great and very helpful with tour bookings etc. Nice clean rooms and amenities. Beautiful beaches only minutes away and close to several clubs and hotel. The diving was great and I saw my first Manta Ray which is one of the highlights of my trip so far. If time permits I will be returning to hopefully catch the whales going through in Winter.
