They don’ t have work. They also are trying to sell the place. Don’ t waste your money and go find a job and accommodation somewhere else. Fake job opportunity

This backpackers was excellent to stay in, and Rock always has heaps of work for you. The work is not always easy, but there is always different work usually each week, so you dont get too bored. Rock has only just bought the backpackers, and is working really hard to make it better, because it is a bit run down. He has put in a new kitchen (which is really good) and new bathroom. There is free internet (which is a bit slow - but it's free) and there is ping pong and digger the dog - he's Rock's sheep dog (one of those cute black and white ones) and he is crazy when you play ping pong. The rooms and beds are clean, and i think most rooms are only 2 or 4 beds, so it is not crowded. I loved my stay with the red cliffs backpackers and will go back later this year, when I need some more money. Oh, and Rock's a chef, and he cooks a free meal on friday nights, which is always something really nice - and a great way to end a hard working week.

I lived at this hostel with my best friend for over six months. we had the time of our lives here! We meet so many people and have stayed in contact with many of them. While we were there we had tons of work as well, however alot of the times were to hungover to go! There is a slow season however around june or july I think? Bruce and his family are quite the bunch, I still send them chritsmas cards every year. They are a laugh... As for the town there is little to do, but drink cask wine and play ping pong or if you are feeling spontaneous head down to toss the boss on a wed night(in your work clothes, you'll fit right in with the local hicks) I really recommend this place even though it is a bit of a shot hole!!!

Well, after 3 weeks over here, in this nice backpacker, i can say that despite the fact the Manager and his son are very nice persons indeed, much work they can't really give to the backpackers. A good point to the manager is that he's honest about the work opportunities, and when he show up in the evening you know you might have a work in the day after. If not, you can always look for him in one of the 2 pubs in town and ask him what's going on with the work. Most of the work I had were for 2-3 days. Sometimes 5 days off..2 day work..3 day off..then 6 day work...nothing really organized. Most of the people who are staying at this place and work, got the job by themself.. And work is the main thing over here, cause excpet that there is nothing to do around here. The Hostel have nice and useful kitchen, 2 TV rooms with Sky-Tvs, free slow-connection Internet, free BBQ, and little little bit atmosphere (I wrote before about FEDERAL in Bundaberg, the FEDERAL is much better). It get cleaned by the backpackers own will... So if you are after work, my opion, this time of the year is not the right time. Perhaps you should try in some of Mildura Work-Hostels.
